BCIMO is excited to announce a further two of its Gold Sponsors for its upcoming Family Day on Saturday, May 17, 2025. This event is part of the nationwide Railway 200 celebrations, marking 200 years since the opening of the Stockton and Darlington Railway in 1825, which heralded the birth of the modern railway.

The BCIMO Family Day will take place at the Very Light Rail National Innovation Centre (VLRNIC) in Dudley, a unique centre for rail innovation located on the site of the former Dudley Railway Station at Castle Hill. The day is shaping up to be a fantastic celebration of innovation, heritage, and community. Visitors can look forward to a packed day of activity, including stalls from local businesses and organisations, family fairground rides, live entertainment, and a wide range of food and drink options.

As recently announced, guests will also have the once-only chance to ride the Coventry Very Light Rail (CVLR) vehicle — an exclusive experience taking passengers along the full test track, through the iconic Dudley Railway Tunnel and around the 15m radius loop, before it heads to Coventry for public demonstration.

This exciting event, which will support five charities – The Kaleidoscope Plus Group, Railway Benefit Fund, 4Louis, Railway Children and Young Lives vs. Cancer – will be officially opened by Pete Waterman OBE, President of the Railway Benefit Fund. It’s a fantastic opportunity to explore the past and future of rail transport, with something for all ages to enjoy.

This bespoke installation enabled a high-quality AV setup for impactful presentations, events, and conferences. Additionally, X2 Workspaces installed bespoke wayfinding graphics and information panels, helping to shape the visitor experience and bring BCIMO’s vision for the space to life.

This collaboration was about more than just interiors—it was about creating a modern and functional space that reflects BCIMO’s brand and ethos. The design focused on ensuring the space was practical, stylish, and aligned with BCIMO’s values of innovation and forward-thinking solutions.
