Composite Braiding

Composite Braiding specialises in the manufacture of advanced composite materials, via an automated process which reduces labour costs by up to 90% and waste by 97%.  The materials used are also lightweight and recyclable.

The company, headquartered in Derby, was founded in 2017 by Steve Barbour, who has a significant heritage in both the composites and aerospace industries.

Composite Braiding joined the Clean Futures Accelerator programme to test and demonstrate products manufactured from their braided thermoplastic composite in an automotive environment, in this case at Coventry University. The company also received commercial support from BCIMO.
