RAPID CHARGER

DESCRIPTION

World first rapid charger for battery-powered rail vehicles. Developed to support testing of the prototype Coventry Very Light Rail (CVLR) vehicle, the Furrer+Frey bus opportunity charger has been adapted to accommodate lighter batteries, providing a low-cost alternative to traditional overhead line electrification for rail.
